Jim Wheeler, the longtime USMS Parliamentarian and star of every USMS skit at the annual USAS dinner, has held numerous positions in USMS and Pacific. A longtime member of the Open Water Committee and Governance Committee, Jim was awarded the Paragon Award for Aquatic Safety. Recognized by Pacific as the Contributor of the Year in 1999, Jim drafted the Open Water Safety Manual still in use today at both the local and national level.  Jim also served as Open Water Chair in Pacific for many years, coordinating up many open water swims each year.
