U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

An active member on the Minnesota LMSC board, Dave has served as the Secretary and Treasurer. As Secretary, he streamlined and simplified processes, making improvements to document storage and creating “annual to-do lists” to help the Board keep track of action items each year. As Treasurer, he made improvements to financial reporting, budgeting, and third-party review.  A core member of the Pool Competition committee, Dave helped coordinate the Minnesota Masters meet schedule to ensure a full schedule of swim meets throughout the year. His organizational skills and financial expertise allowed him to help the committee create a standard process for hosting meets at the lowest entry fee to the swimmer while ensuring the LMSC does not lose money. Dave participated on the LMSC Steering Committee that hosted the 2018 Long Course Summer National Championship Meet. This involvement included the development and submission for the successful bid.
