Dore Schwab was an effective leader in the Pacific LMSC. He served as President and Vice President and as the At-Large representative to the Board. He volunteered his time and many talents to promoting Masters swimming at every opportunity. Dore was part of the small initial governing group of Pacific Masters in the early 1970s. He contributed to its success and growth and in 1972 he became a founding member of the Marin Aquatic Club, which is now called the Tamalpais Aquatic Masters. Dore competed at every level, happily carrying the Masters Swimming banner to local and national meets. His national involvement included membership on the Marketing,  Zone, Development, and Fitness Committees. He also served as chair of the Oceana Zone Committee.
