U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

A member of Oregon Masters for many years, Kermit was a member of the Tualatin Hills Barracudas, and then Central Oregon Masters. He joined the Oregon LMSC board in 2013 when he became the Treasurer. He prepared the annual budget, updated the board on monthly expenses, and kept the organization on track financially. Kermit played a huge oversight role when Oregon hosted the 2016 Summer Nationals, by tracking all income and expenses related to the event. Over the past year or so, with the proposed financial changes at the USMS national office, he spent hours analyzing OMS’ financial situation to be sure it could adapt to a lower income stream. He reached out to the Oregon Club to assist them in their financial discussions as well. And, he became a contributing member of the USMS Governance Committee.
