A member of Missouri Valley Masters for over 35 years, Chip initially formed a Masters Swimming group at the YMCA in Kansas City, MO. He volunteered his time as coach and organizer and managed to keep the program going despite having one facility torn down and a relocation to another Y. Chip shared swimming articles with his swimmers and kept them informed about local and national events taking place. He encouraged swimmers of all skill levels to participate. On the LMSC level, Chip served as the Coach’s Chair for 6 years. He took Coach Certification courses and shared his enthusiasm about Masters Swimming with his swimmers.
