Omar de Armas, of Southern Pacific LMSC (SPMS), served on the USMS Officials and Legislation Committees. As a member of the Southern Pacific LMSC Committee (SPMSC) since 2012, he volunteered as a meet official and a meet administrator. Omar was a key participant in his LMSC’s effort to provide matching grants, working with USMS on the COVID relief program. He was always quick to volunteer for special committee assignments. Omar had a vast understanding of USMS, SPMS, meet operations, and officiating and along with his intellect he was someone who was able to contribute at a high level in his LMSC.
