Ally served the Connecticut LMSC as chair and as the Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator.  She was a National Committee member since 2018, and she served on the USMS Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Vice Chair (2020, 2022), co-authoring a USMS Diversity & Inclusion Webinar Reference Material/Handout for LMSCs in 2021.

Ally achieved her Level 4 USMS Coaching Certification. She made sure as coach at Orange Masters in Connecticut, that everyone had an opportunity to participate in workouts and competitions, no matter their perceived limitations. She offered reduced drop-in swim fees or gave scholarships to those who could not afford monthly dues. Ask any of her athletes what made them feel like they belong in the water, and they said that Ally Sega empowered them to push past their boundaries and to be their best selves in the water.
