U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

Nicki was passionate about open water swimming. She volunteered in the Minnesota LMSC to become the director for an existing non-USMS 5K open water race. Her goal was to submit the event for a USMS Open Water National Championship. Nicki became the race director for the 2024 national championship, and she agreed to run a 1-mile championship event at the same time. Nicki chaired the MN LMSC Open Water Committee and co-chaired the MN Hall of Fame Committee. She became a certified USMS Official and encouraged others to do the same. She joined the USMS Long Distance Committee in 2023.
